Update....

Well I've been missing in action, obviously, but I'm going to try to post more often. We'll see how it goes. I'm hoping after our move (yes, we're moving!) I'll be more organized and on top of things. I have many plans and organizational ideas I want to put into action but...all in a day....and then some.
(I might have to start a second blog, "All In A Day And Then Some" lol to keep everything organized).

On the scrapping front....I've "donated" a lot of my product to my daughter. Not all, I still have a ton; I just haven't used a lot of it and I certainly don't have the storage space for it at the new house. (I really didn't have space for it in this house, hence the lack of use). So my goal is to use what I have, pass it on and purchase more. Out with the old in with the new, you could say.

Ok, so my first goal is to produce a home management binder to stay organized and to keep everyone in the loop with the kids, meals, household upkeep, chore lists, grocery lists, calendars....you name it, it will contain it. I figure this way I can schedule in time to do my scrapbooking and clubs and not stress over my unorganized obsession. It's so hard staying organized when you have no system. I'm certainly finding that out because I don't seem to get much done during the day and other moms seem to have life whipped. I have no plan when I go to the grocer's so I needlessly over spend, I have no plan when it comes to meals so making a list and following it is not possible, we just kinda wing it. Again, overspending on needless materials for unplanned meals. I just think I can make our lives much easier if I just planned life out a little bit. I betting on that to give me more time for myself and my crafts which I can't wait to get back into. Having it all packed up is putting me into withdrawals. If that's possible over paper and ink....

Let's see.....Mary Kay. Yes I still have the product, I'm still a consultant, I'm just sitting low for now. I have the opportunity to go to Career Conference in March and at this point I just can't. As much as I would love to, I just don't have the time or the money to invest in it. I know I SHOULD, but with my husband working all the time now, the new house having to pack, move, unpack....I just seriously am crunched for time. Not to mention, once I get our house all packed, moved, and unpacked I need to go and help my in-laws get their house fixed up and ready for the market. It never ends. I'd also like to find a job in there somewhere, too. Anywho....

Today I made a batch of Peanut Butter Cookies, and if you are interested in a Gluten-Free version it's the simplest recipe:

2 c. peanut butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
dash vanilla (1 tsp)
1/2 tsp salt

Place tbsp size balls on cookie sheet, press with fork in opposing directions and bake in 350 oven for 10 minutes. Wahlah! Oh, and they are good! Makes about 3 dozen. Don't forget the milk!

Feel free to leave me a comment saying hi or let me know if you've ever tried this recipe and I will try and post again soon. Hopefully with pics of the new house!

Much love!

CTMH Recipe box altered

This is a recipe box that I was goofing around with using some DCWV products. For a first time I think it turned out pretty well. I did give it to one of my older daughters and she uses it keep her makeup in and she keeps it on her dresser. Great idea to keep the clutter to a minimum.

Fall Wedding Invite

So, it's been a bit since I last posted, I'm one of those "once in awhile posters" apparently. This next post is just a couple of wedding invitations I whipped up using Close To My Heart products and my computer. I'm still waiting back to hear from the bride but this is a start of some ideas I have floating around in my head. Enjoy!

This is a 3 x 3 thank you card that I had made (in bulk) for my Mary Kay customers. The only thing is, is that the stamp set I used is not from CTMH. But all other products are. The cardstock is White Daisy and Cranberry, the ink is Cranberry and I used a Bitty Sparkle to give it just a touch of pizzaz.

I'm Back!

Well after a long two years I have finally finished school. Well, almost. I still have to take my CMBS exam but other than that, I'm done! So hopefully now I will have more time to post. It's been since March since I last posted and I'm going to try to be more regular about it. So, with no further delays there are quite a few things I wish to touch on in this post.

First and foremost-the new CTMH catalog has been released and there is a ton of stuff in it that I know everyone is going to want. For instance, the new Cricut Artiste cartridge!!! Lots of great 3-D crafts and projects there. As you know, CTMH does not do anything without it being great for the customer so you will also get 3 sheets of dimensional die-cuts as well as 3 (exclusive to the bundle) stamp sets!!!! This is all for $99! Can you believe it? A cartridge like this (700 images) usually retails for $79.99 on Cricut.com, but with the three size C stamps sets ($17.95 value A PIECE), and the die-cuts....well you are getting an excellent deal, lets just say that!

We have also changed out our markers for new alcohol-based markers! Not to mention, you buy one you get a second marker in a shade lighter or darker than the original. That is two markers for the price of $5.95!!! Copics can't even touch that price. I'm not saying these are Copics, I'm just saying that they are an alcohol-based marker LIKE Copics, but they are not the same brand at all.

What else....oh yes, and if you want to be a demonstrator OR a hobbiest to get the discount, you can now sign-up for only $49!!! That gives you crafting products with a few business supplies. If you wish to sign on as an actual demonstrator you can purchase the essential and the executive kits for a total of $99 which is the normal sign-on cost. Not a bad deal. (Don't forget to add shipping and tax).

The catalog features new card kits, new WOTG kits, a Halloween Party kit, and so much more. Check it out on my website or e-mail me for a hard copy.

That's all for now. I hope to check in with you all very soon!

Have a great day!

Are you ready?

Spring is here! Or just around the corner anyway.....I'm starting up a spring scrapbooking club that will start in April (date to be determined at first meeting) and I will be hosting a meeting on Friday, March 30th at 6:30 pm (at my home) for anyone that is interested in signing up.
We will decide at that time what day/night of the month works best for everyone. I will explain what scrapbook club is, what is expected of each other, what basic supplies you may need to bring, the fee ladder for project kits (various price points for various kits).  We will pick the hostesses of each month at this time.  I would like to start off with 6 participants so please bring a friend. Anyone that brings a friend that is not on my facebook friends list or in my contacts in my e-mail that signs up for the club will recieve a free gift from me!
Please message me with your interest or post below. I will answer any questions you may have! Also, I will be sending out a newsletter the first of each month so if you are interested in receiving it please message me your e-mail address. If you recieve the newsletter and you wish not to, you may opt out at any time.
Mark your calendars!!! March 30 @ 6:30 pm. First meeting! Mary's house. If you have an adhesive please bring it with as we will be making a make-n-take card. If not that is fine, too.
Looking forward to it! Any questions, reach out and ask me!!!!
Thanks,
Mary
