Looking forward to the new year!

Wow. It's been well over a month since I last updated this blog. Christmas is a crazy time of year around here, and I'm sure around your home as well. It's a good crazy though. All the hustle and bustle of baking, card making, gift buying, gift making, gift wrapping.....ugh, I get tired just thinking about it!

I didn't do much (if anything) CTMH related in December. Like I said, December was a busy month, not just because of the holiday but because it was also the end of my semester in school and I was struggling with one of my classes so I really had to be diligent and put school first. But now I have off of school until the 11th of January and I am enjoying it, immensely! I really needed the break to recharge. I'm sure many of you can relate. That said I have a few projects that I did for Christmas that I want to share and I will be sharing with you my ideas and scheduled events for the near future.

This first photo is of the Christmas cards that I had sent out to friends and family this year. I used the Adorable Wreath stamp set with Cranberry and New England Ivy inks. I think they turned out great.

The second photo is the school gifts that I made for my daughter's preschool class. We gifted each child a paper pad, holiday pencil, a pack of gum, and a mini Kit Kat. I used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the french fry holder and I used the Believe paper pack and card stock for papers. There was no stamping done, everything was handwritten.

I love how the card turned out. I did these just a few days before Christmas, hence the simplicity of it. But sometimes less is best, right?

With the gift pads, I wish I would have papered the cover of the pad but again, I was rushed for time. Either way I'm sure the kids will have fun practicing their names, letters, and numbers in them. But what was I thinking, gum? For four year olds? I hope the parents didn't have to cut it out of hair or carpets....

These are some of the ideas I've been stirring around in my head, dates have yet to be scheduled:

JANUARY:

Birthday Bonanza, make 12 birthday cards for $10, (each additional card $1 a piece, no limit), that will cover birthdays for both sex's, children, teens, seniors, teachers, everyone that you can think of that you'll need a birthday card for.

Scrapbook Club: 2-Double page layouts along with 4 cards. $20, bring your own adhesive (or purchase from me).

FEBRUARY:

Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book Open House.
Marker board workshop.
Scrapbook Club $20, BYOA (bring your own adhesive)

That's all I've got going right now. I will be sending out newsletters with these dates so that you may make arrangements to attend!

Have a blessed New Year and we'll see you in January!

Finally! Art work to share!

So I've promised photos but it's taken me awhile to get it done. Well these are a few things that I've worked on the last month or so.

The first two were the make-n-take at my open house at the beginning of the month. Then last night I hosted a Christmas card club and the guests were able to choose what paper pack that they wanted to use. They chose between the "Believe" and the "Wonderland" packs. You'll notice each set of cards were made with the same patterns, just different papers. Quite a difference in "mood". One is more traditional with the red and green, and the other is more elegant with the blue's, greys, and purple.

The final picture is a candle holder that I got from Partylite that is customizable. It's heavy duty glass with a removable top that has space on the sides that worked for threading the ribbon through for easy access. Love it! Wish I had two more!!!

Well that's all for now. 'Til next time.....

Fun times!

It's been awhile since I've updated the blog so I thought I'd take some time tonight to do so. I had a fun open house on the 5th. I'm looking forward to a fun Christmas Card club on the 19th. I have yet to post some projects but I've been pretty swamped with school so not much crafting time has been available to me. That will change in December when I get a month off of school! So watch out, it might be crafting overload.

I do have plans around the first part of the year to do a 40-page layout class. Details are not finalized yet, I haven't had time to do that, but I got the idea from my upline and I think it will be great! I also plan on getting more scrapbook clubs going. If anyone is interested in hosting a gathering with friends and family, feel free to contact me. We can do it at your home or mine. Let me know and we'll set something up!

Scrappers Wanted!!!!

I'm so excited to share with you that I am now a Close To My Heart consultant. I've been scrapping for just about 5 years. When I first started I was using paper, stickers, and die cuts. Yes, pretty low key. I've slowly grown in the craft and I've come to enjoy it immensely.

A year and a half ago I signed up as a CTMH consultant as a hobbiest to get the benefit of the product discount. Since then I let my status drop because I started as a full-time student and didn't know how I could manage to get crafting time in. Well this month CTMH had an awesome sign-on bonus and I decided to take the plunge. This time I'm doing it to work it as a business. That said, I'm asking for your help in promoting my business. For all of my friends or family that are interested in hosting a home gathering I will have a free hostess gift for you as well as discounts* on products. I would really appreciate any help you could give me. If you are not interested in hosting a home gathering I would appreciate any referrals you would be willing to pass on. If I recieve any bookings or sales off your referrals you'll recieve a special gift that only referral hostesses recieve!!!  Sounds good, right?

Feel free to check out my blog pages for my specials, stamps of the month, and my upcoming events. My first event is being held at my home on November 5th. Bring a friend or two and check out what products I have to offer. You can also check out my website www.marykrueger.myctmh.com and open my calander to see what days I have open! Thank you for all your help, I look forward to hearing from you!
