Well I've been missing in action, obviously, but I'm going to try to post more often. We'll see how it goes. I'm hoping after our move (yes, we're moving!) I'll be more organized and on top of things. I have many plans and organizational ideas I want to put into action but...all in a day....and then some.
(I might have to start a second blog, "All In A Day And Then Some" lol to keep everything organized).
On the scrapping front....I've "donated" a lot of my product to my daughter. Not all, I still have a ton; I just haven't used a lot of it and I certainly don't have the storage space for it at the new house. (I really didn't have space for it in this house, hence the lack of use). So my goal is to use what I have, pass it on and purchase more. Out with the old in with the new, you could say.
Ok, so my first goal is to produce a home management binder to stay organized and to keep everyone in the loop with the kids, meals, household upkeep, chore lists, grocery lists, calendars....you name it, it will contain it. I figure this way I can schedule in time to do my scrapbooking and clubs and not stress over my unorganized obsession. It's so hard staying organized when you have no system. I'm certainly finding that out because I don't seem to get much done during the day and other moms seem to have life whipped. I have no plan when I go to the grocer's so I needlessly over spend, I have no plan when it comes to meals so making a list and following it is not possible, we just kinda wing it. Again, overspending on needless materials for unplanned meals. I just think I can make our lives much easier if I just planned life out a little bit. I betting on that to give me more time for myself and my crafts which I can't wait to get back into. Having it all packed up is putting me into withdrawals. If that's possible over paper and ink....
Let's see.....Mary Kay. Yes I still have the product, I'm still a consultant, I'm just sitting low for now. I have the opportunity to go to Career Conference in March and at this point I just can't. As much as I would love to, I just don't have the time or the money to invest in it. I know I SHOULD, but with my husband working all the time now, the new house having to pack, move, unpack....I just seriously am crunched for time. Not to mention, once I get our house all packed, moved, and unpacked I need to go and help my in-laws get their house fixed up and ready for the market. It never ends. I'd also like to find a job in there somewhere, too. Anywho....
Today I made a batch of Peanut Butter Cookies, and if you are interested in a Gluten-Free version it's the simplest recipe:
2 c. peanut butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
dash vanilla (1 tsp)
1/2 tsp salt
Place tbsp size balls on cookie sheet, press with fork in opposing directions and bake in 350 oven for 10 minutes. Wahlah! Oh, and they are good! Makes about 3 dozen. Don't forget the milk!
Feel free to leave me a comment saying hi or let me know if you've ever tried this recipe and I will try and post again soon. Hopefully with pics of the new house!
Much love!
M.
